Placing A Bet Via The Grid

BetTrader Evolution is designed as a tool to make trading easier. It is particularly well suited to fast moving and in play markets, where one click betting and hedging is extremely useful. Traders can choose between the grid mode, which closely resembles the Betfair website layout, or the ladder mode, which shows fewer selections but provides full market depth and therefore a much more complete picture of the whole market on those few runners.

To place a bet on the grid, left click on a price (blue for back and pink for lay) to bring up the betslip.

This appears underneath the selection you have chosen, and can be closed by clicking on the red cross on the right. Your default stake will be showing in the stake box. You can change both the odds using the arrows and the stake by typing in the value you want. To submit the bet, click on submit or hit the enter key. The bet will then show in the left panel, either matched or unmatched. If you want to take the price available with your default stake, left click followed by enter will do this very quickly.

To join the queue on a price on the grid you can use the right click button on the mouse rather than having to alter the odds on the slip. So right clicking on a blue price will join the queue to lay at that price and right clicking on a pink price will join the queue to back at that price, once you have submitted the bet.

To cancel an unmatched bet, in the left panel you can either click on the red x on the individual slip, or cancel all unmatched bets by clicking the red x next to the unmatched bets tab. You cannot cancel matched bets.

To move an unmatched bet, left click on the price in the slip in the left panel. The stake and odds boxes will open up and you can then amend the odds or price as required. To alter the price of an unmatched bet by just one tick (up for a lay bet and down for a back bet) you can right click on the price in the slip, instead of using the arrows. There is an option to change the default to more than one tick in the setup menu.

When a bet is matched the red and green p&l figured appear under the names of the selections in the grid. The hedge figure appears to the right of the p&l of the selection you have a bet on. If you click on the hedge figure it will submit the correct amount to hedge at the last traded price.

To set the keep bets function, next to the submit button there is an open padlock icon. Clicking on it will close the padlock and set the bet to be kept in play. A similar icon appears on the right of the betslip for unmatched bets once the bet has been submitted.
