Tools—Drip Feed

This tool allows you to drip feed a bet into the market.

It is normally used for large bets when the user wishes to avoid spooking the market. Very large bets can have the effect of scaring of potential matching bets as they think you may know something they don’t. So you can “drip feed” the bet into the market at a set figure, for a set amount, for a set total.

In the picture below we are drip feeding £1000 onto a horse called Timeshift. It will submit £50 every 10 seconds until a total of £1000 has been matched or we cancel the bet. If the price moves the drip moves with it, as it will submit at the LTP (last traded price) until the cycle is complete. You can back or lay by selecting the appropriate button.
